I Want To Thank You Lord

Psalm 93

The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.

I hope we all realize that the Lord reigns. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There is none higher than Him. There’s none more powerful than Him. His majesty surrounds Him and His strength is evident when you look at Him. It’s as if He is dressed in it. It would be an awesome site to see this God that we worship. Moses tried to get a glimpse but God would only allow him to see his backside. And even then, when he came down from the mountain, his face glowed so brightly that people could not look on him. Some of the glory of God had rubbed off, and Moses was shining like the sun. We serve an awesome God. He is worthy to be praised no matter what we might be going through. Lift up your voices and give His name praise

He established the world, and His throne was established before the world began. He has always been and always will be. In Revelations He says that He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He transcends time and He transcends space. He is mightier than our imaginations can never fathom, yet He loves us with a love so deep that it reaches down and desires a relationship with us. We are nothing but dust, we have mocked His name and we have broken His laws. But still He sent His Son, His only Son, to die for us and take away our sin. He did this because He loved us so much. What a gracious, holy God

The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.

The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.

Have you ever been near the ocean? The sound of the waves coming into the shore is absolutely amazing and the bigger they get the louder they get. They come rolling in constantly. They will break out further, and then they break again and then as they get closer to the shore they break again. You can hear each break and as they get closer to the shore each wave gets louder. It is an awesome sound. Our praises should sound like that. As his presence enters the room they should get louder and bolder, lifting up His name. We all should remember the tsunami that hit several years ago and wiped out thousands upon thousands of villages and towns. The power of those waves was unbelievable, but it is nothing in comparison to the power of our God. He could wipe us all out in an instant for the sins we have committed. But He loves us.

Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O Lord, for ever.

The word of God is sure.  We can depend on it everyday, forever. It will always come through for us and it will always be true for us. When God gives His word He will complete it. His word will not return void but it will accomplish what it has been sent to do (IS 55:11). Holiness is His trademark. He is above reproach. He is the epitome of integrity. He will never lie, never back out on His promise, never do anything contrary to His word. For all of our lives we will be able to depend on God. There’s never a moment that He will ever abandon you or leave you in a situation that is troubling you for too long. His timing is perfect and He will give you strength to go through anything you have to go through because His testimony is sure and He is Holy.

The only response we can have to our Mighty God is to praise Him and lift up His name and give him glory. Please take a moment as you finish reading this to listen to this song. It’s just me singing, nothing fancy, but I love worshiping the Lord and I pray when you listen and worship with me. It’s a song I wrote several years ago. I recorded this as I was undergoing chemotherapy. I couldn’t help but thank him for his mercy and I just had to sing. This is called “I Want to Thank You Lord”
