About

This blog will be used for a number of different things.  It will be a site that deals with the growth and maintenance of the body of Christ.  Bible Study, personal reflection and various themes will be used to help us all see ourselves where we are, and where we could be in God’s Family.  Help in overcoming adversity, how to find peace and joy, and how to stay above the entrapment’s of the world will be a regular theme.  I hope you will find this a place of solace and reflection, as well as edification and enlightenment.  I always welcome your comments. I have a long way to go, and with God’s help and yours, we will all grow together

A friend of mine and I were talking one day about the different roles we all play in people’s lives.  He was mentioning that he sees his primary task is to get people saved.  Now this man is a very direct individual.  he has no problem walking up to a complete stranger and asking them if they know Jesus Christ as their Personal Savior.  if they say no, he will say why not.  Once they answer that, he asks them if they died today would then be in heaven or hell.  And the conversation goes on.

I am not that direct, and probably never could be.  This guy was a First Sargent in the army, and is not intimidated by anything or anyone, so he will do things that I would never do,  I told him I saw him as a harvester for God.  Paul said some plant, some water and some harvest.  I told him most likely everyone he approaches in his life has had a seed planted at some time, and he is there to bring in the harvest.

I then shared with him that I saw myself as a planter at some time and as a harvester at tome times, but mostly as a person who water \s others and helps them receive nourishment for their growth in the kingdom.  But he sees something else.  He sees God’s Maintenance Man.

He talked about how when you plant a garden, someone needs to tend to tying up the beans and the corn when they get taller, someone has to corral the tomatoes to keep them growing right, someone has to pull weeds and if needed apply fertilizer.  The maintenance man does those things

In reading my poems and my blog and some other writings I do, he sees me as one who encourages people when they are down, guiding them through troubled times, uplifting their spirits the it is most needed, and pointing them to the source of their strength and their life in Christ.  God’s Maintenance Man.  I like it!

So I am going to rename this blog to God’s Maintenance Man, starting tomorrow.  You will see a new heading and a new ICON on all my writings.  I hope most of you that follow my writings will catch the change right away.  I will also put a sub heading for the first week or so formerly Walking with Christ so people will recognize that who do not read everyday.

This is very exciting for me, and I hope you will continue to follow and read what God lays on my heart.  We have quite a way to go with this prayer study – you won’t want to miss the powerful things coming up.  Where God takes me from there is already a subject of prayer on my part.

Thank you for following, by the way.  I don’t say it enough.  Your readership and comments and likes mean the world to me.  You are all a blessing to me!

Be blessed!

I have this and one other blog going in WordPress, My Psalms Blog, where I write poems and songs of praise as the Lord gives them to me, which is almost daily.. There was another blog that I no longer update, but it has bible studies in both Philippians and Ephesians it is called Travelling with Paul,  Skl

I also have a Facebook page which has a lot of the same content as my WordPress Psalms blog.    I hope you will also visit them.  Just  click on  the one you’d like to view above and it will take you there.

I really got into chapter 4, which is my favorite chapter in the whole Bible. I will admit that the study started off real slow, but the last few weeks have been a real eye opener for me as I went through that last chapter.. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it!

I Love your Focus Pete and look forward to reading more of your Blog and yes with my being Dyslectic, like you I’m also lead in what I share and this is the same with my Poetry and with my Power Points too and also like you I don’t doubt God’s Truth in what I share having asked for His Wisdom and Empowering which none of us were Born with.

Yes we do indeed give Thanks Pete to God as you have done because whatever Live brings to us He will use it for good in our Lives because we Love Him and are called to do His Good Works that He has prepared in advance for us to do and He equips and empowers us so we can do them and being lead by The Spirit we want to do them, He doesn’t have to force us.

    Christian Love and Blessings,
    Anne.( Grannie Annie)
